In your role as a Care Assistant at HC-One, you’ll value kindness above all. It touches upon every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential and Specialist care homes. Every single person who works here understands that our residents are people just like them with their own stories to tell.
By joining HC-One, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to give something back to those people.
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and committed Care Assistant to join our team at the care home. Whether providing long-term or short-term, convalescence, respite, or palliative care, our focus is on delivering the highest quality service at all times.
Please note we have one 33-hour contract and one 44-hour contract available.
As a Care Assistant, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents. Your duties will include assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing, and helping with meals.
You will deliver care that genuinely comes from the heart, ensuring residents maintain their dignity and individuality. You may help someone with limited mobility learn to use an aid, offer emotional support to distressed residents, or provide end-of-life care, always prioritizing their well-being.
It is essential that you can recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know the appropriate steps to take if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training relevant to their role and to undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if necessary.
