The SMB Group is a highly successful FE college, formed through the merger of Stephenson College and Brooksby Melton College. We are an innovative and highly responsive centre for education and training with campuses in Coalville, Melton Mowbray and Brooksby.
An exciting opportunity has arisen at the College for a Senior Workshop Supervisor to join the team based in Coalville. Working in this role you will lead by example a team of workshop supervisors to carry out duties efficiently and lead on the effective spend of workshop budgets. Support for staff and students is critically important for excellent teaching and learning to take place, ensuring we are in control of the repairs and the maintenance requirements of our resources to support teaching and learning also pivotal to the role.
You may currently be working in a construction setting looking for a change in career and have a desire to share your knowledge with the next generation of students. You will have a passion for the sector and have practical experience of operating within a workshop environment or running a workshop facility.
You will have an aptitude for accuracy, be able to maintain our superb workshop facilities and contribute to the continued improvement of the automotive and engineering programmes to achieve the best outcomes for students and stakeholders.
Minimum Requirements:
To apply for this role, you will need to have a minimum Level 2 qualification or equivalent in a relevant subject area, alongside a strong industrial background.
