Job Description:
A specialist SEMH provision catering in Knutsford are seeking an Outreach Higher-Level Teaching Assistant. Their pupils experience SEMH challenges and EBD, and each of them have an EHCP. Many pupils experience ASC, so experience with such needs would be highly beneficial for this role.
This role covers a 37-hour working week, term time only including INSET days. This is a long-term role with the possibility of a permanent school contract after a successful trial period. The incoming HLTA will receive a rate of £110+ per day, depending on their experience and qualifications. Responsibilities include:
* Working directly with small groups of students or 1:1.
* Providing guidance and support to class teams on developing their own skills around delivering intervention strategies.
* Advising other members of staff on the management and learning of individual pupils with SEN.
* Monitoring outcomes for children who are more likely to be vulnerable and using the outcomes to target support and intervention in education settings effectively.
* Supporting the development of suitable intervention programmes for students to meet their individual needs.
* Maintaining consistent records, which indicate the work carried out and the progress made by the named students and to provide regular feedback about the students supported.
* Coordinating interventions throughout school and support staff with their planning and delivery.
* Working with SLT to track the effectiveness of interventions and hold others to account.
* Providing feedback to students and colleagues concerning students' learning and behaviour.
