Integrated Case Management are currently recruiting for a support worker to work alongside our client in their own home. We have a number of hours available over the following shift patterns: Hours / Shifts available: Monday - 1 pm until 5 pm Wednesday - 1 pm until 5 pm Friday - 1 pm until 5 pm The successful candidate: We are able to offer a funded DBS, a competitive salary £15 per hour depending on experience. Fully funded mandatory and specialised training if required and a pension plan. The Client: ? X lives near Caterham and is a 24 year old young man. He has significant physical, cognitive, communication and executive functioning difficulties as a result of a brain injury and epilepsy. These challenges mean that he requires adult supervision and verbal intervention to support his social interaction and complex activities of daily living. He has recently had surgery and needs support to get physically fitter. He particularly enjoys spending time at home playing board games, and doing craft activities. The Environment: X lives at home with his family and has limited social interaction outside of his home. The Role: X is looking for a Support Worker to help, manage and develop some everyday life skills and daily routines. X requires assistance with all complex activities of daily living such as shopping, cooking, doing the laundry and budgeting. X requires assistance to get out in the community and become more confident and independent. Full training in all aspects of our clients needs will be given and you will be fully supported by the Case Manager, OT and parents. About You: You will have excellent communication skills and have experience supporting a young person/adult with complex needs with personal care and general support. You will be kind, positive, reliable with good timekeeping. Have a sense of humour, be fun, energetic and enthusiastic in the role, and a team player. You will maintain client confidentiality and build a relationship of trust with our client and their family. You will have a willingness to participate and follow training modules which are provided as part of the role. This role requires you to be a driver who can drive your own vehicle. Therefore, you will have a drivers licence. You would also need your own vehicle to get to our clients location as it is not easily accessible via public transport.
