Amazon Japan is looking for a strategic, service-oriented Senior Program Manager for our inbound supply chain services team. You will be responsible for developing business strategy, driving service adoption and establishing solid mechanisms and processes for growing the program. This highly visible role will engage with broad stakeholders across multiple organizations and be exposed to senior leadership for strategic decision making.
The right candidate strives for delivering results, driving the program expansion engaging with broad stakeholders. You need to think big to achieve both the best customer experience and process simplification. At the same time, you are detail-oriented and can dive deep to understand complex processes across vendors and Amazon "Gemba" to deliver a streamlined customer experience. You must be able to lead at a senior level, establish trust with broad stakeholders to deliver results. You will work closely with Retail business teams, Ops supply chain, and technical teams.
Key job responsibilities
1. Strategy development: articulate holistic business strategy for driving program adoption
2. Problem solving: Solve complex business challenges through data-driven analysis.
3. Drive program growth: Create clear paths to successful program implementation and growth
4. Build mechanisms: Develop mechanisms that deliver lasting results and simplify the process
5. Review mechanisms: Hold internal business reviews to track performance and deliver necessary improvements
6. Engage with leadership: Present clear options and tradeoffs to leadership and back recommendations with specific data and examples.
Minimum Qualifications
1. 5+ years of program or project management experience
2. Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
3. Experience owning program strategy, end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
4. Fluency in Japanese and English
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
2. Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
