This 2-year development programme is structured to offer two 1 year placements within Supply Chain and Procurement giving you exposure to a number of roles across these functions, playing your part in ensuring supplier performance, focusing on quality, cost, delivery and sustainability. Compelled by a passion for complex problem solving and collaborating cross functionally, with endless opportunities to develop skills, knowledge and behaviours. Built on the foundations of, CIPS, the programme would be well suited to someone interested in supplier management, building stakeholder relationships and process improvement
Working out of Victrex Headquarters in Lancashire, you will be a key member of the ISC Team working on short term tactical requirements alongside long term projects. The programme will further the knowledge and skills gained at university as you tackle complex challenges faced in chemical manufacturing and supply chains.
During the programme, you can expect to complete a minimum of 2 rotations, with experiences across the following areas:
Procurement
•Procurement Analysis
•Procure to Pay (P2P) process and systems
•Category Management and Buying
Supply Chain
•Data management & analysis
•Schedule and sequencing of plans
•Global replenishment planning
In each role, you will receive outstanding on-the-job training and support from your colleagues, giving you an appreciation of different specialisms and how these areas of the organisation work together as part of the wider business. You will be given autonomy to own and lead project work whilst having day-to-day support from the team. Additionally, you will be assigned a buddy and mentor, both of whom will support your onboarding and continued development, respectively.
Alongside your rotations, you will be enrolled in our Career Catalyst Training Programme. This focuses on providing specialist career coaching to give you the best opportunity to springboard your career at Victrex. Furthermore, we support continued professional development through internal courses and selected external training. You will also have access to LinkedIn Learning, enabling you to develop a broad range of technical and interpersonal skills at any time.
Finally, Victrex recognises the benefits of professional registration, and therefore, we will actively support your chartership ambitions through mentorship and by paying for your annual subscription fees with your chosen institution.
Application Requirements:
* You will be graduating with a minimum of a bachelors degree, with a degree classification of 2:2 or above.
* You must be eligible to work in the UK on a permanent basis and be willing to travel to sites on a regular basis.
* Ideal applicants will apply their intellectual curiosity to solve complex problems.
* Strong analytical and communication (verbal and written) skills are essential to delivering on this programme. We also encourage proactivity in driving continuous improvement (CIP) across our working practices and business processes
