We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic teacher of English to start in September 2025 on a permanent basis. The role is suitable for an experienced or early career teacher.
Allestree Woodlands School is a popular and successful 11-18 school, providing high quality education for 1420 students (200+ in the sixth form). The school is situated on the northern edge of the city of Derby in a very pleasant setting overlooking the Kedleston Hall National Trust estate. We work as a great team together and are committed to the continuing professional development of all colleagues.
We are looking for a committed and highly effective teacher of English who is inspiring, innovative and able to consistently deliver high standards of teaching and learning. The successful applicant will join a very committed, collaborative, forward thinking and highly successful team. We offer a warm and friendly school where teachers and students have positive working relationships. All our staff benefit from Health and Wellbeing services including GP access, physiotherapy, counselling and menopause support. ECTs are well supported by highly effective mentors and would be encouraged to apply for a full-time position.
