Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need? A leading charity is seeking a dedicated Senior Outreach Worker to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Senior Outreach Worker, you will be at the forefront of efforts to empower and support vulnerable individuals within the community.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and coordinate outreach activities to engage with and support individuals experiencing homelessness.
2. Develop and implement innovative strategies to connect with marginalized communities and provide vital assistance.
3. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to create impactful outreach programs, building strong community relationships.
Preferred Requirements:
1. Demonstrated experience in outreach work or similar roles within the social services sector.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
3. An empathetic and compassionate approach, with a deep understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable populations.
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
5. A commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of outreach work.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. A relevant qualification in social work, human services, or a related field.
2. Training or certification in trauma-informed care, mental health first aid, or crisis intervention.
3. First Aid and CPR certification, with a strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
