We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Support Medical Secretary to work within the Pain Management Department based at Russells Hall Hospital in Dudley.
The post holder will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Pain Management Team demonstrating a commitment to providing high quality patient focused care with a meticulous approach to work and excellent communication skills., To provide a support medical secretarial service within the Directorate.To undertakeaccurateaudio/copy typing of medical correspondence and general administration for the Consultants and their teams.This will includehighly sensitiveand complex medical terminology with a need for confidentiality.
Dealing with enquiries from the patients/relatives, generalpractitionersand individual departments.Reassuring patients (carers/relatives ifappropriate)waiting for appointments, test results and commencement of treatment.Assessing priorities, making and re-arranging appointments or passing messages on to the Medical Team for further attention.
General admin duties including photocopying, filing, bring forward system for investigation filing system, answering the telephone and other office duties, including the requisition and maintenance of adequate stationery stocks.
