We also staff & manage the Medical Receiving Unit (MRU) which provides both a service for patients so that they can return for follow up after discharge & an area where new medical patients are assessed prior to transfer to an AMU or ward bed.It is important to give you a supernumerary period to ensure that you have time to orientate yourself to your new environment.
