Titanic Hotel Belfast opened its doors for business in September 2017. This luxury 119 bedroom hotel was created in the former headquarters of Harland & Wolff, builders of Titanic, and provides the perfect destination for anyone travelling to Titanic Quarter on business or for pleasure.
As a Kitchen Porter, you must be a good team player and be able to work in a very busy kitchen environment. Responsibilities include:
1. Taking a primary role in keeping the kitchen up to the required level of cleanliness
2. Ensuring that all relevant equipment is cleaned and returned to the relevant department as efficiently as possible during busy trading periods
3. Following the daily/weekly cleaning schedule
4. Cleaning the staff restaurant after each service session
5. Keeping the back of house corridors clean
6. Following the correct usage instructions on all chemicals and ensuring that they are stored correctly
7. Attending any training sessions as required
8. Showing willingness to take on additional responsibilities when necessary
Minimum Requirements:
1. 6 months plus experience in a busy kitchen
2. Team player
3. Flexible to work various shift patterns
4. Professional
5. Ideally previous experience in a 4/5 star hotel but not essential
