Estates Electrician We are looking for an ambitious individual to join a team of staff in Marston Holdings’ Estates & Facilities Team. The Estates & Facilities team is responsible for delivering a comprehensive, efficient, and customer-focused service across a diverse range of properties throughout to the UK. The successful candidate will assist with the installation, operation, maintenance, fault finding, testing, repairs and modifications of electrical systems, fire alarm systems, boiler plant and controls, heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, providing the highest level of customer service, across the Marston Holdings estate whilst also provide subject matter expertise to the team. What you’ll be doing: Carrying out a variety of planned, preventative and reactive building maintenance tasks Supporting in any general facilities support tasks, including furniture building and furniture removals, grounds and site clearance, and keeping areas clean and tidy generally when required. Managing and prioritising your own workload to complete repairs in a timely manner and in accordance with KPI/SLA timescales and budgets. Using relevant IT systems to record all work undertaken and related expenditure. Undertaking regular safety checks on vehicles used for work purposes as required by company policies and procedures to ensure that vehicles are safe. Maintaining vehicle records as required and keeping vehicles in a clean and tidy order, ensuring that vehicles are secure and correctly parked when not in use. Adhering to company health and safety policy and procedures, identifying hazards, and undertaking point of work risk assessments as required. Communicating effectively with building occupiers to minimise inconvenience when planning and undertaking building maintenance. Supporting the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of an EFM project. Ensure realistic programmes are established from the outset with sensible contingency and monitoring. Ensuring all written and electronic data entry, reports, records, letters, and other documentation are completed in an accurate, comprehensive, and timely manner and logged in to the appropriate CRM system. Please note that travel is expected between group sites. What we’re looking for: Strong numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail Strong Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel skills Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills with an ability to ‘think outside the box’ Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, strong organisational skills and the ability to respond quickly where needed and work under pressure Comfortable suggesting and implementing new ideas Highly motivated, self starter able to work with minimal supervision Excellent interpersonal skills and a good team player Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role Broad experience of Office and Industrial Electrical Systems. Good time management with proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise work as necessary to deal with multiple and competing demands on a regular basis. Excellent Relationship building skills. Great commercial awareness and good problem solving skills. Willingness to undertake further training in order to broaden skillset and extend our service. Full UK Driving Licence What would be a bonus: You will have completed a formal apprenticeship & possess a City & Guilds certificate or equivalent. You will have obtained the Level 3 2239 The Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671-2018) qualification. You will have obtained the Level 3 2391 Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations, this training can be provided if you don’t have this.
