Job summary We are looking to recruit a Deputy Chief Finance Officer (DCFO) to join the NWL ICB Finance Team. The Deputy Chief Finance Officer (DCFO) supports the ICS Chief Finance Officer in developing and implementing the financial strategy of the Integrated Care System and NHS North West London. The post holder plays an active role in the determination and delivery of wider corporate strategy and continuing to commission high quality services which reflect the needs and improve the health of local people. Main duties of the job Key responsibilities of the role include:Represent the NHS NWL on the NWL CFO Group representing commissioning within the sector. Provide professional finance expertise to NHS North West London and across the ICS, and ensure through robust systems and processes the regularity and propriety of expenditure is fully discharged. Lead the development of a strategic financial plan for NHS North West London and in aggregate which will support the delivery of a sustainable health economy and contribute to financial planning across North West London ICS. Lead the evaluation of material ICS business cases and investments to ensure the system achieves value for money and funding is in place for commitments. Lead NWL ICS capital planning and be a financial lead on the Estates workstream. Design and coordinate the implementation of all financial aspects of the Long Term Plan.
