We are currently working with a well respected £80m turnover M&E contractor with a strong presence delivering across the commercial, healthcare and life science sectors for leading main contractors who require a BIM manager to join their London business unit.
Based from their head office in Kings Cross, you will work closely with the their SLT, tasked with developing and implementing a robust design and BIM process to assist in developing the front end delivery of a number of interesting schemes that are being secured at present for the coming years. You will be hands on with the BIM process but also tasked with growing and managing a team as you progress into the leadershi role
The Role:
* Develop/update, implement and maintain BIM workflow, protocols and standards leading the MEP BIM Team
* Liaise and coordinate with other BIM Coordinators, internal delivery teams and external design teams
* Manage Revit project production and contents as well creation and maintenance of standard library objects
* Production of construction level drawing information for use on live sites
* Ensure company procedures, standards and workflows are applied and communicated to the project teams
* Act as BIM lead (MEP Engineering) for major projects
* Provide day-to-day BIM technical support to delivery teams
* Ability to travel to live sites to carry out 3D scanning duties
* Surveying of work in progress MEP installations on live sites
* Provide training to other staff on relevant BIM technologies
Person Specification:
* Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities
* Ideally have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working as a CAD/Revit and Technician for Building Services on medium/large scale projects in Autodesk Revit. Ideally some experience in a leadership or management capacity but they are wlling to consider people making a step up to this level.
* In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with experience of creating search sets, running clash detection and producing clash reports.
* Experience in working with CAD Packages i.e. AutoCAD
* Excellent organisational skills and communications skills, both written and verbal
* Able to manage sensitive and often confidential information
* Self-motivated and able to take responsibilities
* Ability to work independently on own initiative and as part of a team both internally and externally to meet deadlines
