Job overview
This role is varied, interesting, and crucial to ensuring excellent patient experience every step of the way. This role will support the service in ensuring patients receive a high quality of care throughout their journey with CAMHS Services.
Perform specialist personalised assessment and higher-level discussion of young people's holistic needs, resulting in personalised care planning and evaluation of care delivery using advanced clinical knowledge and clinical skills.
Demonstrate higher level clinical care by managing a patient caseload providing expert assessment, planning, and treatment.
Support the Day Hospital Service (within Specialty).
Contribute towards a multi-professional approach in the management of patients within the specialist area, especially in relation to ongoing care needs and discharge arrangements, including providing access to community support.
Establish and maintain effective communication with young people and carers/relatives.
Support young people and their families and ensure that they receive the required information to enable them to self-manage, lead or participate in their care delivery.
Recognise changes in young people's condition that require the intervention of others and case manage/refer on as appropriate.
To support, assist, and encourage the multi-disciplinary team in resolving young people's problems by the provision of new and innovative models of case management.

CLINICAL
* To participate as an effective member of the MDT and be responsible for the development and implementation of a patient-centred approach to care: assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the care needs of patients and their careers.
* To ensure that statutory and legal requirements of care are incorporated safely within each young person's programme of care.
* To observe the requirements of the Mental Health Act 1983 ensuring the patient is fully informed of their legal position and their rights under the Act.

Person specification
QUALIFICATIONS/ TRAINING
Essential criteria
* Professional registration, OT, NURSE, Social worker, psychologist Degree/Diploma Valid and up to date registration. Evidence of Masters level learning or prepared to work towards.
Desirable criteria
* DBT, Solution focussed and/or CBT training Motivational interviewing/ Health coaching MSc in Relevant Training to CAMHS/ Risk Management.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
* Experience of working with Young People and Families with mental health and emotional crisis presentations. Ability and experience in dealing with developing and implementing systems that support clinical excellence. Experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and of involving users and carers ensuring that nursing practice is up to date.
Desirable criteria
* Experience with Lone Working Experience running a nurse led clinic. Experience in managing an Inpatient and outpatient caseload. Experience in delivering Groups and individual intervention (CBT, DBT, Motivational and).
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Essential criteria
* Able to manage difficult situations with child or young people and their families that have complex mental health conditions. Ability to manage clinical risk and have an understanding of child safeguarding procedures. Effective personal management skills, including excellent time management and the ability to prioritise, delegate, and problem solve. Effective leadership skills.
Desirable criteria
* Evidence of project management skills. Evidence of ability to meet performance deadlines and support to ensure others meet deadlines. Effective presentation skills including use of a variety of appropriate media: power point or structured discussion/activities.
