Permanent Part-Time Vacancy Caretaker

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Caretaker to join our friendly and committed team on a permanent part-time basis. You will be responsible for providing a high-quality caretaking service, including maintenance and cleaning activities across our sites in Suffolk.
You’ll spend 2 of your working days based at our Gibson Lodge site, with the remaining day spent assisting the facilities team at our main site in Wellington Street or another of our sites in Suffolk as required.
Skills and Experience: It is advantageous to have knowledge of Health and Safety, compliance checks, water temperature checks, and PAT testing, but not essential as training can be provided.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Experience in cleaning, painting & decorating, minor plumbing, and carpentry work.
* Ability to follow standardised work processes accurately and exercise judgement and initiative within designated areas of responsibility.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety including COSHH and other relevant statutory requirements.
* Ability to work with young people in a non-judgemental and non-discriminatory manner.
* Full UK driving license essential.
Salary and Benefits: Salary is £13,628 per annum, £12.48 per hour.

Days and Hours: You will be contracted to work 21 hours per week, working 7-hour days, and a 30-minute unpaid break. Monday & Wednesday at Gibson Lodge and Friday at Wellington Street. Following induction, you will participate in the maintenance on-call rota.
