An overview of the role:
You will be working as part of our Resource Management team within Capgemini Invent UK. Together with our clients, we create and deliver business and technology solutions that fit their needs and drive the results they want. We work with various clients across industry sectors, including UK Public Sector (primarily Tax and Welfare, Justice & Security and Devolved Government), Consumer Products, Retail and Distribution, Energy & Utilities, Travel & Transport, Telco, Aerospace & Defence. With over 2000 people onshore our consulting services include multiple capabilities such as process manufacturing, business technology, operations & enterprise analytics, marketing and many more.
Our Resourcing team supports the Sales and Delivery communities within the Capability and Sector Units to fulfil our client’s demands. They work as trusted advisors that work closely together to ensure that we deliver the appropriate skills mix for our client needs using permanent or flexible resourcing solutions.
The focus of your role
The objective of the role is to proactively manage the resourcing process; identify issues affecting resourcing performance, support the Lead Resource Manager and Practice leadership team to develop solutions, working with a wide variety of stakeholders, in order to support Invent UK meets their financial and non-financial targets.

Respond to resource requests from:
1. Project and Programme Managers within and outside of Capgemini Invent UK
2. Account and Business Development Managers within Capgemini Invent UK (some interaction outside)
3. Resource Managers from all areas of Capgemini, within the UK and internationally
4. This involves owning requests for your skills areas, identifying appropriate candidates, liaising with Capability Leads, submitting CVs to the requestor, putting candidates and requestor in touch to discuss the role, keeping requestor, candidates and Capability Leads updated on status, updating Retain to reflect opportunity in the forecast
Actively seek placement opportunities for resources coming available:
5. by building relationships within the Market Units
6. by building relationships with other Resource Managers (from other areas of the company, within and outside of UK)
7. by identifying open opportunities in the Global demand tool (Retain)
8. Place consultants into roles, balancing their development needs with the needs of the business
9. Meet with/become familiar with the resources within the team(s) that you are responsible for, understand their career aspirations and development needs.
10. Ensure that up to date profiles are held on the database
11. Understand training needs for resource where appropriate
12. In the absence of fee paid roles, place resources onto sales support and other non-billable work that supports the pipeline and internal initiatives
13. Provide Management Information, as required, to the Business Unit Heads/Capability Leads, Business Operation Managers and Consultants
14. Maintain resourcing tools; update Retain Supply with resource project forecasts to drive utilization MI. Maintain Retain Demand with status notes, start/end date amendments and timely closure of demands when staffed or cancelled to drive accurate MI on fufilment.
We’d love to meet someone with:
15. A background working in Resource Management roles within a similar organization and with a good understanding of the Consulting project lifecycle
16. Experience of working as a collaborative member of a business unit management team
17. Experience of managing and mentoring more junior staff
18. Good Stakeholder Management skills, able to influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders
19. Excellent communication and presentation skills
20. A highly visible people-orientated style with the assertiveness, determination and relationship building skills to challenge objectives and ensure positive results
21. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
22. Calm and patient under pressure
23. Must demonstrate drive and enthusiasm to take positive action and progress projects to a conclusion
24. A clear thinker, with an aptitude for detail
Mandatory Skills:
25. Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Desirable Skills:
26. Knowledge of the RETAIN or other Resource Management Systems would be an advantage
27. Operational/Resourcing experience in creative agency environment
