Our client are seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team for a prestigious £10 million residential apartment development project in Rochdale. As a key member of the project team, you will be responsible for managing all cost aspects of the project, ensuring financial efficiency, and delivering exceptional value for our clients.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage all aspects of cost control for the project, including budget forecasting, cost reporting, and procurement.
Provide accurate and detailed cost estimates, tendering, and contract management.
Monitor project progress and financial performance, identifying and mitigating risks to the budget.
Manage change orders, claims, and variations effectively.
Collaborate closely with the project team, contractors, and consultants to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Prepare and submit progress payment applications and reports.
Maintain detailed project records, ensuring all financial documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within residential construction projects.
Experience working on projects of £10 million or more in value.
Strong knowledge of the full project lifecycle from inception to completion.
Excellent understanding of contract law, construction regulations, and industry standards.
Proficiency in using quantity surveying software and tools.
Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and the project team.
Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification (MRICS desirable).Benefits:
