Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and proactive EHS Lead to work on site in Cheshunt, UK. Reporting to the HSEQ Director and Managing Director, this role offers a unique opportunity to influence and improve our EHS programs across all construction activities. Responsibilities:
* Conduct regular inspections, audits, and reviews of work practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
* Lead the development and execution of the strategic vision for EHS excellence across all construction projects, ensuring safety is prioritized at every stage.
* Provide expert guidance and coaching to senior construction management, ensuring all site actions are aligned with company safety policies and best practices.
* Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of all required EHS documentation, ensuring records are accurate and in compliance with established procedures.
* Develop and implement proactive EHS objectives that support the company’s long-term growth, improving both safety performance and regulatory compliance.
* Coordinate and manage the filing of site audits, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure ongoing improvements.
* Lead the planning and delivery of EHS training to meet regulatory standards and enhance safety awareness and performance across the company.
* Foster and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support EHS initiatives and drive company-wide success.
* Mentor, coach, and develop new and existing EHS Advisor team members, ensuring a high level of knowledge and capability within the team.
Requirements:
* Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a similar EHS role, with a proven track record of driving improvements and managing safety programs.
* Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
* Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence and build respect at all levels of the organization.
* Experience managing change and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
* Excellent presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with proficiency in using safety management software and standard office tools.
