Description
An excellent opportunity now exists for a Production Controller to join the Operations function in the Merseyrail Control, IECC building, Sandhills.
Reporting directly to the Train Service Delivery Manager you will:
1. Undertake a customer-focused role, committed to delivering an improved service for the benefit of our customers and the business.
2. Be responsible for ensuring that the train plan is implemented and respond to any alteration to the service, during times of service disruption and take action to return the service to normal as soon as is practicable by implementing agreed contingency plans.
3. Provide information to Customer Information Officers for dissemination to all staff, customers and the media.
4. Maintain and update the Integrale system ensuring that all units are correctly allocated to diagrams and that all maintenance and defects are correctly recorded.
5. Work with Network Rail during times of disruption to ensure that incidents are dealt with in a safe and efficient way and that PPM is protected and normal service restored as soon as possible.
6. Attend daily calls with Stadler Rail to provide the best possible service, to ensure maintenance and unit availability are constantly at a high level.
7. Ensure the Company safety manual procedures are followed at all times.

Key Responsibilities
1. The post holder is responsible to their manager for health, safety and welfare of himself/herself, colleagues, contractors, and customers.
2. The post holder must take measures to ensure that he/she fully understands any references in publications issued to or to which access or extracts are provided which relates to their particular tasks or responsibilities.
3. The post holder must fully report all accidents correctly to their manager and complete all necessary related documentation.
4. The post-holder must attend safety briefings and raise any concerns about safety standards.
5. The post holder should make himself / herself aware of the names of those trained in First Aid. Local arrangements are detailed in the Local Safety Policy Statement and are exhibited on company noticeboards.
6. The post holder has responsibility for fire, fire prevention and security by making himself herself aware of any evacuation plan and reporting suspicious objects to their manager.
7. Lead and direct all Merseyrail Control staff and ensure that they operate safely in accordance with Rules, Regulations and relevant legislation currently in force.
8. No serious safety concerns are attributed to Control staff competency.

1. Experience of managing an operations team in a high-pressure environment.
