Main Purpose of Passive Safety Engineer
* Responsible for automotive crash passive safety performance.
* Participate in performance planning, test planning, and analysis of CAE and physical test results.
* Liaise between local and global related departments at all stages of the vehicle development process.
* Attend regular project meetings and provide key information to the department.
* Attend physical crash test sites within Europe for varying lengths of time (2 weeks – 2 months).
Experience / Knowledge for the Passive Safety Engineer
* Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or Physics related field.
* Previous experience in Automotive Passive Safety testing or restraint system development.
* Understanding of vehicle passive safety design concepts.
* Experience of interpreting, executing, and analyzing a variety of Regulation and consumer-based passive safety crash tests.
* Familiarity with automotive simulation and analysis tools, such as Animator, Diadem, TrackReport.
* Ability to travel within Europe.
* Valid UK/European driving license is essential.
