Align Property Services is looking for a motivated individual who is keen to learn and is committed to a career in Highway Engineering to join their Highways and Infrastructure team in Northallerton.
You will receive full training and it is expected that you will progress to Degree level through day-release to university.
This is a fantastic opportunity to build a solid foundation for your civil engineering career combining mentorship, theory, and professional practice.
As an Apprentice Highway Engineer, you will:
Develop your skills in creating conceptual and detailed design and specifications of infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, and highway features using PDS and/or Civils 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage. You will collaborate with the wider team to build a good understanding of other building and engineering related disciplines and requirements of these in the effective design, co-ordination, and delivery of projects.

Essential requirements:
. To meet the UCAS point requirement for the degree associated with the role
. Minimum 5 GCSE Grades A-C/5-9 including Maths, English and Science and/or
· A Level grades suitable for direct entry onto accredited p/t apprenticeship course, including Maths.
· Be willing to undertake the part time Degree Apprenticeship course.
· Good IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office.
· Good communication skills both written and verbal.
· Driving Licence or willing/working towards obtaining a UK Driving Licence
About the Qualification:
You will undertake a Civil Engineering Degree Apprenticeship at a local University who offer the course. The course usually takes 4 – 6 years on a part time basis.
Information on the universities that offer the course will be shared in 2025, when the courses have been released by each university.
