We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council as a Commercial Contracts Manager (Asset Management) in the Asset Management team. The role This is an exciting opportunity to manage the performance and business growth of the council’s current and future commercial contracts relating its Assets and Estates functions across the district. You will be responsible for the efficient operations of existing contracts and to lead on procurement and negotiation of new contracts and will lead on improved performance of partner organisations in the areas of finance, operational performance and customer experience. You will look to identify opportunities for service growth and development, including the development of new income streams. Also assessing opportunities to implement contract changes generating savings and service improvements. What you will need You will have proven substantial experience of project and/or programme management, commercial contract management to deliver agreed objective and experience of negotiating commercially sensitive contracts for the benefit of the client, including delivery of profitable new services. You will have the ability to manage projects and programmes and be focused commercially astute individual with experience of managing commercial negotiations. You will be educated to degree level, have evident CPD in the related field and have demonstrable skills and abilities in problem solving, decision making and negotiation. Why work for us?
