Are you looking for a role where you can really make a difference to the life of a young person?
We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join our team, working to provide a high-quality service to children and young people within the Looked After system. In this role, you will work as part of a wider team to assess each child and young person's needs, implementing individual care plans/programmes, and providing a level of supervision and support.
The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will build close relationships with the young people in our home, supporting their links and relationships outside of the home, encouraging them to connect with the communities around them. You will be required to maintain appropriate and up to date records on each child/young person, working closely with the wider team and providing feedback to management where necessary for the young person's wellbeing.
Who we are looking for
The role requires the ability to work with challenging situations and behaviours displayed by young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties. The right candidate will be caring, compassionate and committed to the service, with the skills to assess each young person’s needs and implement individual care plans.
We operate within a shift system: this includes days, evenings, overnight sleepovers, and weekends, so candidates will need to work within this. The role requires flexibility, good communication both verbally and written, and above all the capability to be a great team player. If this is the kind of rewarding career move you are looking for, please apply today!
This role requires an enhanced DBS check with a Children’s Barred List check. Please note this role involves working in regulated activity with Children.
