Job Description
We are looking for passionate people to help us create clothing for some of the most iconic sports and workwear companies in the UK. You will be responsible for handling garments and moving them through the transfer application process to produce a finished product for shipping.
As an Application Team Member you will:
* Work with the wider team to manage garments, unpacking and packing, counting and moving through the printing process
* With training, safely operate heat presses to apply logo's to the garments
* Communicate with the Application Team Leader to point out faults and discrepancies
* Work within an agreed shift pattern
* Help with basic maintenance and cleaning of work areas
* Reinforce and encourage the Avery Dennison core values and ethics.
Key responsibilities:
* Processing Job Orders provided by the Team Leader
* Checking the right garments, transfers and artwork are all correct
* Managing Garments - counting in and out of your work area
* Adhere to agreed control processes, monitoring work and performing basic quality checks
* Be able to adapt to changing priorities and respond to production needs.
* Be sure to follow best practices and standard operating procedures
* Keep workspace clean and tidy at all times
* Reporting equipment faults or production issues to Team Leader
* Work within all EHS guidelines set out by the Site Lead and Operations Manager
Qualifications
* Good dexterity and attention to detail, working with small tolerances
* Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with colleagues to meet deadlines
* Experience in garment decoration an advantage
* Understanding of how to read and follow artwork instructions (not language dependant)
* Ability to operate industrial pressing equipment - training will be provided
* Knowledge of fabrics and textiles would be helpful in this role
