3. Supporting our customers using the Positive Behavioural Support model to promote independence and social inclusion through person-centred support.
4. Monitoring our customers' mental and physical health to identify any signs of deterioration and take positive risk management to their health and wellbeing.
5. With flexibility in the hours and days that you want to work. The man you will be helping has a fun, bubbly, and energetic personality. His interests include music, musical instruments, board games, and gardening; so, if you love to sing, play an instrument, or do a touch of gardening, you're just perfect for our role!
6. There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from supporting our customer to achieve their hopes and aspirations, working to bespoke care plans. You'll help coordinate activities and experiences meaningful to them and for them, so that they can participate in their favourite things as well as trying out new things that have been identified as aspirations for the future. Some of our customers also have more complex needs which may include support with personal care. Rest assured that wherever you will be working, we will support you all the way!

You bring:
1. Experience in a Complex Care setting, with a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Health & Social Care or are prepared to work towards it.
2. Flexibility to work at short notice, as you'll be the one picking your next shift.
3. You're a real people person, confident to work in different services or locations or teams and get on with colleagues.
4. Worked as a Support Worker, supporting people with complex needs or behaviours of distress.
5. A patient and calm approach, able to adapt your style to X's needs, as well as to the specific occasion and circumstances, even when they challenge us.
6. Experience of positive risk management, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of customers and colleagues.
Our team: You'll be working alongside our fabulous team of Support Workers and report to Deb, our Registered Manager, who has worked for Home Group for 5 years. Deb has loads of experience in working with customers with both mental health and learning disabilities. Outside of work, you'll find her supporting her local football team, spending quality time with her family, and just loves cooking for friends.
Job details:
1. Flexible working hours
2. We pay £50 per sleep-in shift
3. Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, doing mandatory learning, and keeping in touch with colleagues.
4. You'll need an Enhanced DBS check done, and we pay for that.
