Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled individual to join our Digital Solutions Team as a Trainee Engineer. This role is ideal for someone with a background in IT, engineering, or digital solutions who is passionate about problem-solving and delivering exceptional customer support.
As a Digital Solutions Trainee Engineer, you will provide technical assistance to customers, sales teams, and field engineers, ensuring that issues are resolved efficiently and professionally. You will also assist in pre-sales technical support, software installations, and digital integrations while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and clients.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
1. Provide remote technical support to customers and internal teams via phone and digital platforms.
2. Manage support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
3. Maintain accurate records of support cases using CRM systems.
4. Assist engineers with ZEISS Smart Services and digital device integration.
5. Support the sales team by providing technical expertise in pre-sales meetings.
6. Advise customers on digital solutions and software applications (e.g., FORUM, Cirrus Review).
7. Conduct basic software installations and configurations for customers.
Internal Collaboration & Administration
1. Work closely with the Integrated Solutions Team on FORUM and HDP projects.
2. Assist with administrative tasks within the Digital Solutions Team, including helpdesk management.
3. Help maintain the Digital Solutions inbox and prioritize incoming support requests.
Skills & Qualifications
1. Degree, diploma, or certification in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
2. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
3. Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
4. Basic knowledge of networking, system configurations, and software installation.
5. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
6. Full Driving Licence
7. Experience in technical support, IT helpdesk, or software troubleshooting.
8. Understanding of medical imaging software (FORUM, Cirrus Review) or digital integration.
9. IT certifications (CompTIA A+, ITIL, Microsoft Certified) are an advantage.
10. Willingness to travel occasionally within the UK, Ireland, and internationally.
