We are looking to appoint a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to work in KS1 supporting children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups within the whole class setting. We can offer an all-round, in-depth, totally immersive primary school experience in our one form entry primary school.
This will be a fixed term post starting as soon as possible until 31 August 2025 and is currently a temporary position subject to future funding. Hours will be up to 32.5 per week, term time only, preferably from 8:30am to 3:30pm daily although some flexibility may be possible for the right candidate. Additional hours may be available to support the delivery of our wide range of extra-curricular clubs both before and after school.
We need a Teaching Assistant who:
1. can be flexible and use their own initiative
2. enjoys a challenge
3. is willing to support children with additional needs in a variety of situations
4. is competent in basic English and Maths skills
5. holds NVQ/CACHE Level 2 or equivalent qualifications and/or has relevant experience
A further advantage, although not essential as training can be provided, would be:
1. experience of specific programmes or interventions including Speech, Language & Communication, Maths & English support and behaviour support
2. willingness to provide some additional support to our popular Breakfast Club
3. First Aid
