We are looking to recruit a Quality Control Administrator to carry out inspections on our products that come into the warehouse from overseas and UK based factories. The ideal person for the role of Quality Control Administrator will have some understanding of Quality procedures whether that be from their studies or in a Quality work environment, with a methodical, thorough approach and an exceptional eye for detail. The ability to drive and have your own transport is essential as you will be based both at Head Office and the warehouse which is off site. Excellent career progression.
OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE
Reporting to the Technical Manager, this is an office based role (Swinton, M278FF) with regular journeys to our warehouse (Accrington, BB55YH) and occasional factory visits within the North West / rest of UK. As Quality Control Administrator, you will be checking packaging and labelling to ensure all meet company and legislative requirements working to established processes, identifying any issues and reporting to the Technical Manager. Also handling any customer service issues relating to Quality and creating sample reports in Excel. Any knowledge of AQL tables would be hugely beneficial.
Role and Responsibilities:
* Inspecting finished goods during production (for UK productions)
* Inspecting finished goods at the warehouse and the office.
* Managing and storing production samples received from China.
* Sending samples for microbiological testing
* Preparing QC documents for China and Warehouse inspections
* Writing QC reports after inspections
* Entering data in SAP
* Assist with all quality related tasks.
* Assist in non-compliance investigation
* Admin tasks to support the Technical team
Skills Required for the role:
* Ability to carry out quality inspections with a keen eye for detail
* Good eye for detail with abilities to work alone/ work as part of a team and on own initiative
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Thorough and methodical approach as well as good eye for detail
* Flexible approach and able to adapt to the company’s operational requirements
* Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook and Excel spreadsheets, etc.
* Own transport essential
Whilst not essential, the following would be of benefit:
* Knowledge of SAP, but full training will be offered
* Previous experience working in a factory/ manufacturing process environment/warehouse doing inspections
