MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Supply Chain & Sourcing Manager will lead the Procurement and Warehouse function of the business, ensuring best cost, service and delivery is achieved through rigorous supplier selection and monitoring. This job role will oversee the goods-inwards, warehouse, and dispatch function, ensuring high levels of inventory management are achieved, while also maximising OTIF deliveries to our customer base. The jobholder will manage the departments performance to ensure adherence to agreed targets and budgets. This encompasses not only financial KPIs but also quality assurance, environmental impact and other performance measures. MAJOR OBJECTIVES: Warehouse and Logistics 1. Development of targeted KPIs for department around OTD/OTIF deliveries to customers 2. Negotiate with current and new logistics providers to reduce transport cost, drive service improvement, and reduce supply risk to the business 3. Accountability for the warehouse labour budget 4. Team management Ensuring there are clear succession plans for key positions or processes within the department, enabling employee development while also reducing business operational risk Procurement 1. Key supplier account management Negotiating cost, service, delivery on a regular basis to aid company objectives 2. Strategic sourcing of new materials or suppliers to aid process improvement or cost out projects 3. Create and maintain a supplier risk management tool to ensure the business is protected against any supply chain disruptions 4. Managing effective supplier onboarding and audit procedures to enable targeted selection of approved suppliers 5. Conduct rigorous supplier qualification processes to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and performance standards. 6. Sign off for all materials and consumables invoices, and investigate any issues 7. Tracking of all categories spend to aid in the targeted approach to cost savings 8. Associate member of the group technical committee to allow best practice, and technical knowledge sharing between group members 9. Ownership and accountability for product BOMs 10. Ability to form a link between the accounts department and suppliers to ensure smooth flow of materials into the business when needed 11. Development of targeted KPIs for the department 12. Management of supplier related Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) 13. Monitor supplier performance to drive continuous improvement across the supply base 14. Develop and implement contingency plans to mitigate potential risks and ensure business continuity. CORE COMPETENCIES: -Experience in supply, warehouse, and transport management is essential. -Exceptional negotiation and communication skill. -An individual who can manage suppliers, secure favourable terms, and optimising financial agreements. -Ability to build strong partnerships, diversifying suppliers (multi-sourcing), and using predictive analytics to mitigate risks through risk management. -A professional who has great transformational capabilities, able to seek ways to innovate and improve material savings through continuous material strategic sourcing. -Effective evaluation of plant capacity and material requirements through Supply chain synchronization and Master Production Scheduling to scale up production capabilities with qualified suppliers. -Good knowledge in international trade is desirable but not essential. -Experience of working within a challenging and competitive commercial environment Excellent numeric, problem solving, and analytical skills Effective people management skills.
