Whatever you are looking for, you will find it here in South Wales The role We are looking for an ambitious, driven and highly motivated Junior Buyer to join our team, the role will support the Buying team in planning and implementing category strategy, ensuring that products are developed to optimise department profitability and support the wider company strategy. Responsibilities: Creating and executing the buying strategy, including range building Source, select and negotiate with suppliers to obtain optimum product, prices and terms of contract. Taking ownership of critical path and deadlines are met with any issues being raised. Participate in meetings at Director/Head of level ensuring effecting key information is communicated. Review and analyses sales data, identifying top performing product/lines, ensuring data driven decisions are made for future lines/intakes and recommendations for improvement made and presented. Keep up to date with competitor and retail trends to inform product selection Working with the merchandising team to optimise stock levels within budget guidelines Assist in the training and development of junior members of the team. Collaborating with other departments within the company to ensure the successful launch of new product lines/seasonal collections and other company initiatives. Skills and Experience: Demonstrable fashion experience gained at a Senior Assistant Buyer level A good understanding of current Fashion trends and market knowledge Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Organised and detailed orientated, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, project and deadlines..
