We are looking for an Experienced Estates Manager to work for one of our clients within the Wigan Area. This role will be a 6-month fixed term contract working 37 hours across Monday - Friday with flexibility to work on ad hoc call outs and weekends. Paying a salary of £40,796 pro-rata.
What will you be doing as an Estates Manager?
The role will encompass a lot of different areas including:
1. Facilities management
2. Health and safety
3. Risk management
You will be responsible for:
1. Ensuring that all areas are in a fit and healthy state of repair.
2. Compliance with regulations and periodic testing of electrical systems across the site.
3. Overseeing the contract cleaning for the site.
4. Monitoring and overseeing the security and CCTV for the site and other buildings.
5. Managing a team of 3, offering comprehensive support, mentoring, and coaching.
6. Keeping an accurate record of incidents and accidents using RIDDOR guidelines.
7. Conducting annual inspections and site visits.
8. Regular testing of all equipment, including PAT testing for fixed appliances and inspection and control of legionella in accordance with health and safety.
9. Managing inventory and stock control of supplies.
10. Management of utilities, such as gas, water, and waste management across the site.
11. Fire evacuation and maintaining relationships with fire and ambulance services.
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
1. Experience in estates, facilities, or health and safety as a manager.
2. Familiarity with COSHH handling.
3. NEBOSH or IOSH qualification.
4. Experience with risk assessments using RIDDOR technique.
5. Experience managing or supervising other staff in a busy and fast-paced role.
6. Experience in the public sector, healthcare, NHS, or charity sector.
7. Strong attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, ability to manage time effectively, and work as part of a team.
8. UK driver's license.
