Support Engineer - Asset Management
Location: Farnborough, with travel as required to client premises
Working pattern: Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office

The Role:
Parico is seeking a Support Engineer who is smart, curious and prospers against the challenge of working closely with a small business to solve complex and challenging problems across the Public Sector landscape. You’ll have the freedoms to be truly innovative to roll up your sleeves, get stuck into the detail of systems, and generally do what it takes to achieve incredible technical solutions to our customer’s complex problems.
Responsibilities include:
* ITIL process owner for asset management
* Writing procedural documentation including Plans, Process, Work Instructions
* Hardware and Software and Configuration Item control & management
* Planning & performing audits
* Asset tagging and onboarding
* Producing Asset reports
Our Ideal Candidate:
* Excellent problem-solving skills and comfortable taking on new challenges.
* A proven track record for delivering large-scale IT projects, with direct responsibility for designing and implementing highly available and resilient Wintel solutions including active-active failover for business continuity.
* Documentation experience, both in creating high- and low-level technical design documentation.
* Configuring and administering backup and restore of Windows systems along with patching.
* Exemplary customer skills and communications skills
* Highly adaptable, calm and professional
* Excellent problem-solving skills and comfortable taking on new challenges.
* Hold a UK Driving Licence and have a willingness to travel to client sites.
* Highly organised in order to achieve deliverables on time.
Useful skills:
* Previous IT asset management or Service Asset Configuration Management (SACM) experience
* Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint advanced user competency
* Experience with configuring, administering, using JIRA Service Management for Asset Management
* Experience of working within mature ITIL environments
* Experience of working within MOD
* Keen attention to detail
* Able to convey information effectively to stakeholders at all levels both verbally and via slide decks
* Physically able, occasional requirement of lifting/moving heavy items
* Commutable distance to Bath & Bristol
Desirable Qualifications:
* Microsoft MCSE Qualification or similar
