Job Description A BMS/BEMS Sales Estimator is involved in a range of technical duties that are essential for the successful planning and execution of Building Management Systems and Building Energy Management Systems projects. Cost Estimation: Calculate and compile costs for required materials, equipment, and labour based on project specifications. Utilize estimation software to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of the cost estimation process. Proposal Development: Prepare detailed proposals that include comprehensive cost breakdowns, project timelines, and technical descriptions of the proposed solutions. Adjust proposals in response to client feedback or changes in project scope. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with the project, including technical, financial, and timeline risks. Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks to ensure project viability. Vendor and Supplier Coordination: Liaise with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate product and pricing information. Evaluate supplier bids and quotations to ensure they meet project specifications and budget requirements. Client Consultation: Engage with clients to discuss and refine project needs and expectations. Present and explain proposals to clients, highlighting the benefits and technical aspects of the BMS/BEMS solutions. Technical Support and Advisory: Provide technical advice to the sales team during the pre-sales and negotiation phases.
