CR Civil Engineering part of the RSK Group have a great opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join their growing team in Thames Valley area.
The Role:
Working on highway improvement schemes across the south region, including Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Gloucestershire you will be responsible for leading a team providing a high-quality civil engineering service to clients. To ensure quality work is carried out on site and that the project is delivered to the required specification, standard and timescale.
Responsibilities:
* Manage labour, plant, transport, and equipment on site, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and legal manner and in accordance with the project plan.
* Direct teams in the construction of the works, monitoring the allocation of labour to ensure the tasks they carry out are within their level of skill and experience and that the correct tools and equipment are being utilised at all times.
* Ensure health and safety of all personnel on site and that site activities do not cause adverse environmental impact.
* Manage relationships with colleagues, customers, suppliers & stakeholders.
* Produce delivery programmes. Liaise with planners to ensure compliant to NEC / Contract standards.

* Monitoring and review and performance of site staff, including performance appraisals and disciplinaries.
* Travelling when required / needed.
* Carry out quality and safety inspections.
* Onboarding, allocating and managing Sub Contractors and sub contract labour
* Motivating the teams
Key Requirements/Experience:
Experienced in Water industry on none infrastructure projects in both clean and waste water environments.
Skills:
* Ability to work in a fast- paced environment.
* NEC 3&4 Contract knowledge, including drafting notifications and supporting programming.
* Set standards of health and safety
* Experience of leading a team of site workers
* Experience of planning and organising own workload
* Ability to manage customer, supplier & stakeholder relationships.
* Good verbal and written skills
* Knowledge of health and safety legislation
* Knowledge of CDM and industry requirements
* Awareness of employment legislation and best practice
* Computer literacy, MS Office suite
* Ability to identify problems and devise solutions.
* Ability to meet targets and deadlines, often under difficult conditions.
* Ability to manage a team or task in accordance with the project plan
* Willingness to undertake training and development.
* Produce complex project specific RAMS.
* Take off materials from drawings and schedule for procurement.
Qualifications:
Mandatory
* CSCS
* NVQ level 6 or 7
* Full UK driving licence
* First aid
* EUSR National Water Hygiene (Blue card)
* SMSTS

* National Highways Passport
* Appointed Person (Lifting)
* NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction (UK)
* IOSH Managing Safely
* Temporary Works Coordinator
