Learning Disability & Autism Liaison Clinician (NHS AfC: Band 6) - Registered health care professional - Sirona care & health CIC
We are seeking a clinician to join our established Nurse and wider team to deliver Learning Disability and Autism liaison in Weston General Hospital. The successful applicant will be passionate about ensuring equitable access to our acute services for people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert support to acute hospital staff to meet the needs of people who have complex needs through innovative provision of reasonable adjustments.
2. Work autonomously and prioritize workload according to capacity and demand.
3. Collaborate with the acute Trust on agreed initiatives to improve knowledge, skills, and practice in supporting people with learning disabilities.
4. Attend meetings with the Lead Nurse to promote access for people who have a learning disability and/or autistic people.
5. Develop the skills of students and junior staff.
6. Maintain a visible profile within the service and encourage liaison from acute trust services.
7. Contribute to and deliver training as required to acute hospital staff.
