Senior Mechanical Engineer: Offshore Wind - Balance of Plant
Our client is currently seeking talented engineers to join their team and support a new Offshore Wind project, focusing on Lifting, HVAC, and Substation systems.

Role:
This is a Senior / Lead / Principal role for a Mechanical Engineer with experience in Offshore Wind Balance of Plant (BoP), Equipment, or Utilities, including Cranes, Pumps, Generators, Water Systems, Lifting, HVAC, T&I, and Topside Design.
Essential qualifications include senior mechanical engineering experience related to BoP or equipment for offshore structures, ideally offshore substations. Suitable candidates have backgrounds in offshore equipment design for oil & gas or offshore wind sectors. Responsibilities encompass offshore engineering, construction, installation, commissioning, testing, operation, and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. EPCI activities: Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Installation, Operation, and Maintenance for BoP on Offshore Platforms.
2. Design and review of BoP/Offshore Equipment/Utilities for Offshore Wind or O&G substations/platforms.
3. Technical and Engineering Requirements development and review.
4. Evaluation of bidders' technical proposals.
5. Technical and Design development clarifications.
Experience:
* BoP/Offshore Equipment/Utilities for Offshore Wind or O&G substations/platforms.
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields such as Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
* Experience with EPCI activities for offshore platforms.
Advantages:
* Experience working with developers or EPCI contractors on offshore structures.
* Experience with HVDC offshore platforms.
Location: UK or EU, with hybrid working options (office & WFH).
Applicants must have BoP, Equipment, or O&M experience for offshore structures and an engineering degree. Experience in offshore wind or O&G substations/platforms is preferred.
