Hays are happy to be working with a successful communications agency in Edinburgh. They require an Account Manager to support them in delivering exceptional services in a fast-paced environment.
Your new role
This position involves daily oversight and strategic direction of client accounts, including, but not limited to, project planning for housebuilders, renewable energy initiatives, trade associations, and non-profit organisations. Organising, leading, and participating in public consultation events across Scotland, developing and executing stakeholder engagement programs, creating and managing public affairs documents like scoping reports, and facilitating stakeholder roundtables and events.
What you'll need to succeed
1. Manage client relationships, providing strategic communications advice and support.
2. Plan and implement communication strategies, coordinate web design and brand development, and manage community engagement activities.
3. Support staff recruitment and general company management.
4. Oversee press and media engagement KPIs, build stakeholder relationships, and manage multi-client portfolios across various policy sectors.
5. Handle media relations, write opinion pieces, and identify new client pitches.
6. Draft public affairs strategies, policy briefings, and social media calendars, as well as manage clients' social media channels.
7. Conduct media and political monitoring, sell additional services, participate in client pitches, and represent the company at events and conferences.
