About The Role
Cornerstone Healthcare are looking for a Learning & Development Facilitator to design and deliver flexible compliant learning interventions that enable the organisation to constantly evolve and develop and which enhance a learning culture that is driven by continuous professional development.
The successful candidate will have the ability to use a range of blended learning solutions, suited to the learning needs of the individual to engage learners and enable them to transfer knowledge and skills to their day-to-day duties. Collaborating with NAPPI UK and other accreditation bodies they will ensure adherence to their accreditation standards.
As part of a collaborative team, you will ensure the L&D function contributes to the organisation by maintaining compliance with all legislation and regulatory requirements and responding to identified learning needs.
Please note that this position involves an on site presence and includes travel to services based in Hampshire, Surrey, Bristol, and eventually Birmingham, in the coming 12-18 months.
What do you need? (Essential experience)
* Minimum of 18 months experience in a Learning & Development Facilitating role
* Full UK Drivers Licence and access to own vehicle
* A good standard of general education
* Previous experience of designing and delivering learning interventions
* Ability to organise, prioritise a busy workload and work to deadlines
* Proficient administrator with excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
* Strong in MS office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Teams
* Excellent communication written and verbal skills with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
* Self-motivated, pro-active and able to work both as part of a team and independently as necessary
* Interpersonal skills (Approachable, Empathy, Patience, Respect and Assertiveness)
* A curious, creative and innovative approach to learning interventions which enable face to face, digital and blended learning
* Ability to adapt learning delivery styles to the needs of the business, recognising the needs and diversities of the learner(s) and holding an awareness of sub-conscious bias
Desirable Experience
* Experience in Healthcare or Social Care
* Previous coaching and mentoring experience
* Educated to degree level or role relevant qualification
* Subject matter accredited such as First Aid trainer for delivering First Aid at Work, Basis Life Support training, NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention) or Fire Safety
* Previous experience of digital learning delivery
* Motivation to work inclusively with diverse individuals including vulnerable adults
What hours will you work?
Monday to Friday - 09:00am until 17:00 (40 hours per week)
These start and finish times may vary, depending on travel and to accommodate for our night and bank staff's shift patterns.
What will you be doing?
* Contribute to the design and maintenance of an engaging, informative and effective induction programme that provides new starters with the skills and knowledge to embed into the workplace and embark upon their role within the organisation.
* Collaborate with managers and peers to ensure the induction programme aligns with and compliments the next phase of ‘Local’ induction.
* Design and deliver learning interventions as required that support the annual learning programme, refresher requirements and as requested by stakeholders.
* Support the L&D co-ordinator with the planning of the annual L&D programme, ensuring it accommodates the interventions that are required across the organisation.
* Ensure all induction and learning interventions align with the organisations values, content of organisation policies and supporting e-learning courses.
* Collaborate with managers, peers and stakeholders to identify learning needs and ensure interventions are designed and delivered to support service delivery.
* Ensure all learning interventions and supporting L&D resources are compliant with legislation / regulatory and accreditation requirements, up to date, high quality and shared in a timely manner.
* Ensure all observations and competency checks are thoroughly observed to ensure legal, regulatory and accreditation compliance.
* Ensure all observation and competency records are correct, factual and compliant with legislation, regulations and accreditation requirements.
* Ensure a continuous iteration of learning and development interventions through reflection, stakeholder engagement and appropriate methods of evaluation.
* Prioritise, amend and revise learning interventions to respond to the needs of (and changes within) the service area, taking a best practice approach at all times.
* Provide additional one to one and group learning as the need requires where requested by general, clinical and service managers.
* Support colleagues to complete risk assessments and update care plans as and when appropriate.
* Provide quantitative and qualitative data and information to the L&D Manager, Senior Management team and board to provide insight and inform decision making regarding the performance of the L&D function.
* Maintain own continuous personal development, ensuring up to date with all legal/ regulatory compliance requirements and maintaining knowledge and skills of the most up to date and innovative methods of L&D design and delivery.

About Us
Cornerstone Healthcare provide specialist care for vulnerable people who present with challenging behaviours associated with complex neurodegenerative and mental health needs.
Residents who live in our homes primarily have a neurological degenerative condition such as Dementia with an underlying mental health condition which makes them inappropriate candidates for dementia care homes or residential care homes for the elderly.
We currently have 3 services based in Waterlooville, Curdridge, & Mytchett with 2 new services set to open in Bristol and Birmingham in 2025.
