Engineering and Product Design Teacher
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic secondary school in Southampton as an Engineering and Product Design Teacher, beginning January (or sooner for an ideal handover period). This role focuses on delivering high-quality education to students in KS4, specifically in BTEC Tech and Cambridge Nationals in Engineering, fostering both technical skill and creative design thinking.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Engineering and Product Design to KS4 students.
* Tailor content for both BTEC Tech and Cambridge Nationals, aligning with curriculum standards and student needs.
* Support students through their coursework, helping them achieve their full potential in practical and theoretical aspects.
* Collaborate with the department to enrich the curriculum and create inspiring, hands-on projects.
* Provide guidance and mentorship, instilling confidence and a passion for the subject.
Candidate Profile:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant experience in teaching KS4 Engineering and Product Design courses.
* Strong understanding of BTEC Tech and/or Cambridge Nationals, with a commitment to practical and vocational education.
* Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to inspire students at varying levels.
* Flexible, proactive, and adaptable to work within a collaborative environment.
