CHILDREN'S HOME SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER / TEAM LEADER Location: Bromyard, Herefordshire Salary: £30,500 - £43,000 Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), including one weekend in four & participation in the on-call rota Holidays: 33 days per year MAKE A DIFFERENCE LEAD WITH PURPOSE A dedicated leader with a passion for transforming young lives is required for a SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER / TEAM LEADER role in a residential care setting. This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in providing outstanding care and support to young people with learning disabilities (LD). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Be part of a senior care leadership team managing childrens homes. Lead, inspire, and develop a team of residential support workers. Ensure young people thrive in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment. Work closely with education, health, and therapy specialists to provide integrated support. Take on a leadership role with excellent progression opportunities. REQUIREMENTS Experience: Prior experience supporting young people with learning disabilities in a residential setting. Qualifications: A Level 3 NVQ in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is required. Leadership Skills: Strong ability to manage, motivate, and develop a team. Safeguarding Knowledge: A deep understanding of safeguarding procedures and best practices. Resilience & Passion: A proactive and compassionate approach to working with young people. KEY DUTIES Oversee the daily operations of a designated home/cluster. Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, care, and support for young people. Mentor and develop Shift Leaders and Residential Support Workers. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies. Drive positive outcomes and promote independence for young people. Collaborate with social workers, families, and external agencies. Oversee budgets, staffing, and performance management within the home.
