Job overview
This will be based in the Financial Accounting Team, mainly dealing with losses and provisions, please refer to page 6 of the job description for Financial Accounts Assistant.
Main duties of the job
The key duties of the post are:
* Maintain LaSPaR database with all losses and provisions
* Complete monthly returns for provisions
* Process Losses and Ex Gratia payments
* Undertake monthly Balance sheet reconciliations using Blackline software
* Provision of reports & new case references to Legal Services for Personal Injury and Medical negligence claims.
* Process payments for quarterly L&RS invoices
* Preparation of Monthly & Quarterly returns for submission to Welsh Risk Pool.
* Monitor and update spreadsheets to complete notes for losses/provisions in the Accounts
* Support the production of Annual Accounts including the production of working papers
It is essential that candidates have minimum qualifications requirements, previous accounts experience and IT skills, particularly strong spreadsheets skills.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
