Job overview
We are recruiting for a Rheumatology Medical Secretary who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

Main duties of the job
1. Act as point of contact for patients and medical staff on behalf of the consultant and their team ensuring that all inquiries are answered with skill, sensitivity, and in a courteous and professional manner.
2. Provide an efficient, comprehensive personal assistant and administrative support service to the Consultant/s and any other members of their team/s.
3. Book patients in accordance with the National Target Waits, prioritising urgent patients as requested by the Consultants.
4. Contact patients via telephone or face-to-face to discuss outpatient appointment dates, periods when they are unavailable, etc.
5. Provide patients with relevant contact telephone numbers when transport is required.
6. Work independently using initiative and apply a high degree of confidentiality to all aspects of work.
7. Utilise Lorenzo and DictateIT systems to ensure accurate and efficient records.
8. Undertake duties without direct supervision, working within broad procedural guidelines.
