Description
* Requiring daily reporting to St. Julien’s Creek Annex – no remote work authorized. Providing waterfront support to afloat naval platforms and working within a lab environment
* Testing and troubleshooting HF systems
* Performing on-platform installation, troubleshooting, and testing of naval communication systems and equipment
* Performing system-level software testing to accurately validate operational readiness
* Performing installation and verification tests of HF systems
* Performing inspection and testing of installed antennas and antenna lines
* Repairing electronics systems, assemblies and cabling
* Reading, understanding and interpreting technical reports and drawings
* Understanding of networking concepts
* Providing written and/or oral updates of current system status, as well as support provided to LANT/PAC Fleet platforms to supervisor and In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) personnel
* Standing or walking while lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling heavy objects; requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on waterfront platforms during all seasons
* Packaging, handling, storage, and transportation of materials and equipment
* Supporting and communicating directly with customer
* Prioritizing tasks and strong ability to meet deadlines
* Performing ad-hoc tasking within contract scope
* Travel will occasionally be required to support SOVTs, SOTs, Technical Assists, etc.

Requirements
* Seven+ years of hands-on experience supporting shipboard high frequency (HF) radio communication equipment on multiple classes of naval platforms to include installation, operating, troubleshooting and repair of shipboard HF equipment
* Experienced in operation, analysis and troubleshooting of HF communication systems
* Hands-on experience utilizing test equipment to include spectrum analyzers, power meters, signal generators, and digital multimeters to troubleshoot radio frequency (RF) systems
* Working knowledge of radio communications center integrated systems including HFRG, URT-23, BRSE, SA-2112 SAS/BAS, TVS, cryptographic devices, NAVMACS, couplers, and antenna systems
* Ability to effectively communicate via oral and written communications with a variety of stakeholders to include government civilians, technical staff, junior and senior military personnel
* Knowledge of combat systems department roles and responsibilities
* Knowledge of shipboard events and evolutions impacting testing and troubleshooting RF systems
* Ability to work successfully in a collaborative and diverse environment and be a team player
* Ability to stand or walk while lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling heavy objects; requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
* Packaging, handling, storage, and transportation of materials and equipment
* Will be required to obtain a passport
* Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS up to 25% (nonconsecutive)
* High degree of self-motivation
* Secret Clearance
Desired Skills
* Strong working knowledge of BFTN system is a plus
* Experienced conducting pre and post installation inspection of BFTN systems
* Hands-on experience performing PITCO, or SOVTs on BFTN systems
* Strong working knowledge testing and troubleshooting BFTN and the following integrated systems: HFRG, URT-23, BRSE, SA-2112 SAS/BAS, TVS, cryptographic devices and NAVMACS
* Significant knowledge of shipboard radio communications center
* Significant experience working through shipboard evolutions and communicating with combat systems division personnel
* Ability to perform preventative maintenance on HF and legacy equipment

SRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVEL
Travel Requirements
* Up to 25% annual CONUS/OCONUS travel to naval DOD/shipyard installations
