Your new role
1. Managing Projects: Successfully overseeing projects from start to finish, ensuring delivery within specified time, cost, quality, and scope.
2. Project Delivery Approaches: Utilising various methods, including waterfall and agile, to deliver projects effectively.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with stakeholders to define project objectives, business benefits, priorities, and critical success criteria.
4. Estimation and Planning: Conducting project estimation, resource planning, scheduling, cost management, budgeting, and forecasting.
5. Change Management: Planning and managing business change and implementation activities.
6. Effective Controls: Implementing controls such as risk and issue management, change control, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
What you'll need to succeed
To be the successful candidate, you will need:
7. Formal Project Management Accreditation: Ideally, possess formal accreditation in project management (, APM, Prince2, or equivalent) at the practitioner level.
8. Advanced Degree in Computer Science or IT: A Master's degree in Computer Science or IT is desirable.
9. Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in delivering IT projects within specified timeframes and budgets.
10. Effective Project Monitoring: Substantial experience using project management tools, processes, frameworks, and reporting standards to monitor project performance and ensure timely delivery.
11. Detailed Project Planning: Ability to create detailed project plans that guide clients, staff members, and project teams, adapting as business needs evolve.
12. Stakeholder Collaboration: Extensive background in collaborating with senior stakeholders and clients to identify project requirements, delivery timelines, and associated costs.
