If you are an Engineering Geologist situated in Manchester that is looking for an opportunity to work on funky projects and develop your pragmatic design approach to remediating landslides, slopes and rocks, then this position could be a perfect fit for you. As an Engineering Geologist (rope access/design), you will be sat within a well experienced, specialist team of Engineering Geologists and Geotechnical design engineers helping to deliver a wide range of complex projects throughout the UK, UAE, and islands in the Atlantic ocean. Your role as an Engineering Geologist (rope access/design) will be split in the range of 75% office based and 25% site based, expect some international travel. See below for the split. Engineering Geologist Site based include: Overseeing complex GI’s, field mapping, rock slope inspections, landside assessments, rope access etc. Engineering Geologist Office based tasks include : detailed reporting and analysing data, ground modelling then producing detailed analysis and design for remedial works etc. You will also be assisting the Geotechnical team on designs for projects across the teams. Engineering Geologist (rope access/design) Requirements: BEng/MSc in Engineering Geology or Geology or something similar. 1-5 years’ experience within UK engineering consultancy specialising in Geology. Interpretive reporting experience. Experience analysing and designing slope stability (preferred not essential) Rope access trained (preferred not essential) Experience assessing landslides (preferred but not essential) Geological modelling and detailed design for remedial work (preferred but not essential)
