A Breast Cancer Nurse Specialist to support patients diagnosed with breast cancer, throughout their treatment pathway.
About the Role
Due to promotion within our team, two exciting opportunities have arisen for two dedicated, hard-working and compassionate nurses to work within the primary breast care nursing team. This nursing role requires close working and collaboration with all members of the Breast Care Nursing Team, together with the wider MDT, across oncology and surgery. It will involve supporting patients across all five aspects of breast cancer care; Primary, Reconstruction, Family History, Personalised care (PSFU), and Metastatic. Previous experience of working with this cohort of patients is desirable, but not essential.
The individuals will be expected to work flexibly, have excellent advanced communication and interpersonal skills, and have a willingness to advance their own practice, whilst considering the needs of others within the team. They will be expected to support new ways of working including genetics mainstreaming, and new nurse-led clinics.
Working Pattern: One post is 37.5 hours, 5 days a week. The other post is Part time, 24.5 hours over 3 days.
Salary: Band 6: £37,338 - £44,962 per annum pro rata
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing Date: 06 April, 2025
