Based at Borderway Mart, Carlisle the business handles more than 12,000 head of livestock each week through our multiple sites.

Previous experience of credit control is essential and knowledge and experience of the agricultural cycle and livestock breeding and its cash flow implications would be preferred.
The job includes:
maintaining trusting relationships with new and existing Harrison & Hetherington clients by providing as required face-to-face or telephone advice.
monitoring the payment records of clients with empathy or robustness as required, negotiating and controlling the collection of outstanding monies
enforcing the terms of business as laid out in the Conditions of Sale.
providing up to date reporting information to the senior management team regarding arrears status and advice on debt recovery.
working closely with all relevant managers to enable clear lines of communication in order that robust systems with regard to payment terms and credit control are adhered to across all offices.
conducting credit checks on new customers and resolving problems in relation to invoice payments.
evaluating trading and cashflow of customers
managing overdue accounts whiles maintaining good customer relationships
balancing our credit policies with a customer focussed perspective to maintain long-term relationships
reporting to management on outstanding issues, highlighting potential debtor problems.
