Location Bakery, Ascot Drive, Derby, DE24 8GN Employment Type Full-time Hours 45 p/w Salary £12.79 p/h Purpose We have a unique opportunity for a full time Butcher to join our Savoury department at our prestigious Ascot Drive Bakery. Responsibilities Processing primal cuts of meat for sausage, pork pies and sausage rolls Operating sausage filler Operating bowl chopper Cooking and preparing fillings for pies and pasties Operating mincer and dicer Shifts The role is 45 hours per week, working a day shift starting at 5am. The role will require working 1 in 5 Saturdays to support our 7 day operation. Experience Experience in sausage production, along with experience working in a high care/cooked meat environment A positive, flexible attitude and to be able to work under pressure without compromising quality or safety The ability to work to a high standard in an efficient, clean and tidy manner, observing the highest food hygiene guidelines to meet strict despatch deadline Qualifications The selection process will involve a block test and interview Benefits 4 weeks holiday per year increasing incrementally each year to 5 weeks holiday per year (after 5 years continuous service) plus bank holidays.
