Newly created position – Make it your own from day one Mechanical variety – Work on a broad range of systems and equipment Mentor potential – Guide and support apprentices in developing their mechanical skills Training & development – Expand your technical know-how Great work-life balance – No shifts, no weekends Your Core Responsibilities Maintaining and optimising mechanical systems across the factory, offices, and site infrastructure Diagnosing, repairing, and preventing mechanical faults on production and facilities equipment (pumps, valves, compressors, HVAC, pneumatics, etc.) Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and identifying areas for mechanical improvement Liaising with specialist contractors for larger installations or servicing Supporting apprentices and junior staff with mechanical fault finding and repairs Maintaining safe working practices and ensuring mechanical compliance with health & safety standards What We’re Looking For Essential: 3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance or mechanical engineering within a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical fault-finding and repair skills Qualifications such as IPAF, PASMA, forklift (or willing to train) Reliable, hands-on, and able to work independently and as part of a team Full UK driving licence and legal right to work in the UK Hours & Benefits Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 (37.5 hrs/week) No weekend or shift work Long-term progression opportunities Friendly and collaborative team environment Ongoing investment in your training and development If you're a mechanically minded problem-solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly, we’d love to hear from you.
